I went out real early to make a wade before daylight under the full moon. Got to my spot about 4:45am and hopped out throwing a She Dog. Nothing for 20 min or so, and then about 5:15 caught 4 trout within 15 min of each other. I strung 3 and lost one while stringing it.
I knew the tide was going to go slack soon at spot #1, so at daylight I ran further into the bay to wade another shoreline. Got out armed with a plastic worm and started catching nice fish almost immediately. Stood there and finished a limit of trout, and even caught a few bonus reds mixed in. Trout were solid keepers with 2 of them over 22"es.
Final tally 10 trout and 3 reds, all caught in 3-4 feet of water over sand/shell. Ive had 3 marginal trips recently, so it felt good to have a succesfull day. The bay was slick calm as I headed back to the dock.
