we caught one on the troll before sunset, then the rest chunking, and on poppers. We missed a few 100# class tunas on poppers...damn treble-hooks suck for big fish. The type of popper doesn't matter when the topwater bite is on...they will crush anything. We were using live bait too, but it kept getting eaten by blackfins. The bite was sporadic all night, it would be dead for an hour then on-fire for 5min, then dead again...Comment

The first one on top was landed on a Strike Pro Tuna Hunter (blue and pink), but that lure taken by a cuda so we went to cheap plugs and did just as well on no name lures.Comment
