where could an ol poor boy like me walk in at down that way and get into some fish? Looks like I might be headed that way on friday morning for the weekend. I would like to fish but don't know the area too well.

Before you get to there ferry or around fin&feather there are several spots.If you had a yak or rent one take the lighthouse lake tour.

With the norther coming in the tide should be dropping hard Friday, and as reeltime said, the shrimp boat channel will hold fish as tide drops out. Shamrock if you want to wade should be holding fish also, Shamrock is about 7-8 miles south of Port A on 361 on your right. Conn Brown Flats along drop off should hold fish, but it is boggy. Jacks or Johns hole in Stedmans should be holding fish.
