By the way, you'll be proud of me, sort of. I just got a new phone because AT&T is sunsetting their 2g service. I moved up to a flip phone. I really don't like it. I spent over an hour in the store trying an Iphone before the guy gave up on me. I did give it a chance. It's a brand new phone, made in 2016. The guy asked if I wanted to change my plan to allow for texting. Turns out it would end up costing me over $20 a month more over my present plan that I've had since '04. No thanks.

My dead scrimps got me 6 reds, a flounder, and a nice drum my last trip. SO THERE!

You have too many rules for yourself, like not texting, fighting technological advances, fishing with dead shrimp, etc.

I'm really not angry most of the time, and certainly not bitter. I've had a great life. A jerk is a possibility, but I don't have the filters a lot of other people have. I never have. I think that's been an advantage in being extremely creative, as most people are afraid of being embarrassed, especially publicly.

My Mom always told people that she failed charm school twice. My Dad was an efficiency expert, and a very plain and direct spoken man. As I have aged, I don't suffer fools, have a greater respect for life, all life, but do still get pissed off at potlickers cutting off my wade or drifting across the fish . I fight the urge to scream and cuss 'em!

You serious DB? You know my mock anger at it all is over the pic of the month. They gotta be oriented correctly or we can't use them. This has been explained. Rule #7 in the contest every month. Otherwise, I don't have an issue with it. I just hate that every month there are awesome photos submitted that I can't vote for because we can't use them. Several of those have been yours bro.

Now texting, well it's just not for me because it's so anti-social.

I don't mind you having your opinion, and there are a lot of things I think are stupid too. But if I spent the time to call out every stupid thing I see, I'd probably be seen as an angry, bitter, curmudgeonly jerk. I have enough to handle with texting and vertically oriented photos. Yes, I have a response from County Commissioner Joe Giusti. He's interested in a report from the project manager. I also got a reply from County parks director Robert Simoneau. He's also looking into it.
