I have one on a Shimano Cumulus rod and love it. Super light and have no problems when I use it. It took a while to get used to how light the overall set-up is since I normally use a bait caster. I put Sufix 832 braid on mine and really enjoy its performance.

I would recommend 6'6" or 7'. Mine is on a 7 footer. If it is for inshore fishing, I think you would be happy with the 2500.

I have one too. Stradic Ci4 2500. I've had mine about four years. It was my go to rod for fishing in my kayak. I use Sufix 832 braid with a fluorocarbon leader on it. I have it on a medium light FTU silver rod. I have abused mine and it has held up well. I am really impressed with the quality/smoothness of the drag.

I bought one about 2 years ago and since then my girlfriend has hijacked it .
Its been dunked a few times in the surf (sealed drag system is great) , sandblasted in high wind and made it through hundreds of bass to 5 lbs , some good slot reds and of course average trout no problem.
I spray it down with ardent reel cleaner and rinse it off with warm water after every trip and its just as smooth and strong as ever.
I keep a spool with power pro on it and another with fluorocarbon on a 6' ftu specks and reds rod.
Great with jigs. Just the other night I was messing around at the local pond and landed about a 15lb grass carp. I don't think you can go wrong.

Had an older one (like 8 years ago) and darn nice reel-holds up well if ya spray it down with light oil after use. You'll be happy with it. I sold it to a buddy so his wife could use it.

Shimano Stradic CI4
Ive been lookin in to getting a new light tackle spinning & really liked the design & how smooth the Stradic CI4 is but i wondered how well it would hold up in saltwater? Have any of yall used them in saltwater & how did they hold up in saltwater? Please leave your opions on the reel or suggestions on other spinning reels!
Thank you & God Bless - DrueTags: None
