November 3 fishing report

Update.....my son works in a lab that does testing for environmental/building material hazards. The owner is a Galveston native, A&M graduate in Marine Biology and lifelong fisherman. He thinks the TPW warnings are BS. Glad I kept the fish and I will eat them without concern.

Chemicals of Concern Dioxins, Organochlorine pesticides, Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)

• For all species of fish and blue crabs, adults should limit consumption to no more than one, 8-ounce meal per month.
• Women of childbearing age and children under 12 should not consume any fish or blue crabs from this area.

I was able to find this on the TPW site.....like my son said, kinda like saying a little poison is OK, just not too much too often. Oh well, it's gonna be catch, photo and release for me. I will save my unhealthy pursuits for something better than eating reds. Not sure I could enjoy them now anyway wondering what kind of unpronounceable chemicals I was ingesting. Honestly never really did like cleaning fish after a long day on the water anyway. And, as a bonus, I can lie my ***** off about all the ones we released.

Well , the rookies did a whole lot better than my last several trips . WTG ! ROOT CANALS post is an official health warning . What everyone said for and against are valid points . I just wouldn't make that area your usual go to area . Who knows .

Ive eating fish from around there. Havent grown anything unusual......yet!

fish have tails. those fish were in trinity bay the week before.

Not to rain on your parade.....Great fish....but I wouldn't eat anything from up there. When I fish that far up it is catch and release only.
