I think culling is legal as pointed out in Lori's post as to "how".

It makes sense-too bad we can't "cull" the folks in DC. I would throwback Obama in a second! He's a hardhead or a Lizard fish-maybe a toadfish best describes him-just a scum-sucking bottom feeder without a clue.

It's called high-grading and a lot of tournaments almost require it. Nobody likes to do it, since the fish get stressed once put in a live well or on a stringer.

There again there is low-grading as well. That's usually throwing back small fish under the length limit. Many die, simply because they are smaller and more fragile. After a big tournament like TIFT down here there will be hundreds of dead juveniles floating belly up in the bay.

The best rule would be to allow people to catch a few fish no matter what the size is, and then you have to stop fishing for that species. This doesn't make sense to the fish managers but is far more practical than killing all those extra fish.

    Culling REvisted again

Yesterday at the Bay Area CCA mtg a Harris county Game Warden said culling was okay as long as you released the culled fish before putting the new one in the box (live fish only of course). Last year I was told By a Galveston Game Wardem that culling was not legal. I submitted a the question on TXPW web site to see if I can get an official response, not holding my breath.

    I went to the TXPW
