Mg if you can't refrain from calling other members names you're done. Heated discussion is one thing. Name calling of fellow members is quite another.

I would guess the majority of them don't care. But you don't have rallies for the people in that category. Just like the dip sheets with the occupy protest in front of the camera that are a small minority. And, if given the choice I'd rather have a pipeline on my neighbors property vs mine so it doesn't have anything to do with being conservative.Originally posted by H.Maier View PostThe irony of the pipeline being passed is the ranchers and landowners in Nebraska are against it affecting the aquaphor and running right outside their bedroom window. Last time I checked, they,re not exactly a bunch of liberals.
Do you have any idea how many thousand upon thousands of hundred thousand miles in Texas, Louisana, Oklahoma are crisscrossed with transportaion and gathering lines?
Furthermore, I'm ALWAYS against anything that would cause oil and gas prices to be lower. I'm greedy and I don't see any benefit in something that could lower prices like this pipeline. I love to see guys like MG pay top dollar for gas at the pump and utility bills because it only benefits guys like me.Last edited by JT; October 1, 2014, 10:35 AM.

It is simply a "Bait & Switch" put forth by Obama on behalf of his buddy, Warren Buffett. In 2010, Berkshire Hathaway bought BNSF Railway. KXL was proposed in 2008. Obama held off and still is holding off approval of KXL. Railroads run through some of the most pristine and beautiful places in the USA-they were built 100 or more years ago when no one understood the possible damage to the environment they could cause. Right now millions and millions of gallons of crude run all over the USA on rail. They have train accidents and derailings-sometimes in very sensitive or populated areas. A spill is a spill-it can happen in a goat pasture or in a scenic river when a railcar jumps its tracks. In 2013, 47 people died due to a crude loaded train wreck in Quebec Province-much of the crude was US crude going to a New Brunswick Refinery. If KXL was allowed to be built across the border by Obama, likely these 47 deaths would not have occurred.
Further, trains wreck quite often-many is sensitive areas, so someone tell me that the enviros are against KXL for potential pollution but yet why are they not concerned with exploding, people-killing railcars? I would rather see a spill from a pipeline, which is usually on a pretty small scale when compared to a whole train a mile long filled with crude exploding in downtown Houston. The crude has to be moved-and there are only two choices-rail, which has proven to be deadly and definitely crosses environmentally sensitive areas or by Pipeline which is highly regulated, to be built and has been built to 'go around' some environmentally sensitive areas.
To me, the whole KXL issue is merely Obama taking care of his buddy Warren Buffett and that is all-Obama has no concern about how many deaths rail can and will cause and the so-called 'pollution issue' does not hold water when one looks at how much damage and DEATH a crude loaded train can cause. I know of no CRUDE pipeline causing deaths-gas pipelines, yes, crude no.

First off MG, I have not called you names-you however continue to play childish, immature games in that regard-but like my father said, Once someone is an azzhole, they will always be an azzhole no matter what you say or do to them. I always found that to be true.Originally posted by mgstei1 View PostThats probably why he has done so well, we used to call them brown nosers or sux butts, and every business or company or crew has them. Especially in a non union outfit where no one knows who or how much someone doing the same work side by side you is making. Or they make them foremen or superintendents. But ol Robablow may be just lucky and using that union work ethic might have just busted his arse to get that career. Yeah, you right about that JT. Another thing we agree on. Before long, we may be bestest friends.
I always remember what an ol Tankerman told me back in my 20's.
A business owner will always take the sorriest no good for nothing sux butt and make him the boss and give him a few cents more an hour and he will get the most work out of the rest of the crew because it makes everyone po'ed and work harder to try to get ahead.
Works every time.
Headed to Chocolate, the croaker are running.
Secondly, I posted a fine example of why Obama has 'exempted' business from his ObamaCare-the reason is because it will have a drastic negative effect on employment and the economy-that has been proven.
Instead of having an intelligent rebuttal, you skirt and dodge just like Obama-mainly because the fact is true and there is no intelligent rebuttal to the truth. I sincerely hope that all our children and grandchildren do not suffer dire consequences caused by people like you-low information voters that vote based on what some Union Rep says or some socialist says or 'community organizer' promises someone like 'Peggy Joseph' because they are a lazy person wanting 'freebies', like a large majority of Obama supporters.

Send out what you believe I lied about and you will get facts.
IMHO I said " I" want Canada to do what she has to do and leave her stinking oil sands out of the pipes going through the US and then on the China and India.
I don't really care about how much oil experience you have and don't care if I wore a union hat, I do not care and I know for a fact the new section will be flowing oil sand tars mixed with a carrier so it will flow and that company don't give a rats arse about any spill or break on American soil. Hell ask the Indians in the Dakotas. They know more than 2 ol washed out ex oil hands that bowed down to the oil companies.
And I could care less and really do not care if you or any others here question intelligence. There is lacking everywhere.

What's comical is you pull facts out of your (censored). Then when somebody who knows better(see robalo) corrects you on them , you move forward with your argument like it makes no difference.Originally posted by mgstei1 View PostI was for it before I was against it, when I took a hard look at which nation of people the whole damn thing would benefit the most.
Let the tar sand and the dispersants to carry it in a pipe, be Canada's baby.
Whole thing is even more political than Benghazi fiasco.
What's just as comical is you spent a career as a union hat. Roblao and I both have been in the oil business a combined 70 years having both entered in about 1979 with exploration and production companies. Yet because you "read" some (censored) off of a liberal website or hear it from someone else that doesn't know (censored), you state it as fact until someone with superior knowledge corrects you.
Please Kindly STFU about things you know nothing about, and people might quit questioning your intelligence.

Yep right now it carries crude on the exisisting line. And no the refinery jobs are already processing domestic crude and does not need or want the tar sands with a carrier to refine. It all will be exported. If you want to help Canada and india and china create jobs be my guest. I don't.Originally posted by Robalo View PostMG:
The KXL moves CRUDE not Tar sand. If Obama let the Canucks send it here, it's refined here which means JOBS but you apparently prefer jobs in India or China, not the USA. Maybe you can get a job in China or India? I'm sure the one-way airfare is not too much and likely most of us on here would help you pay for it and watch you board the flight-can you take Obama with you-and Warren Buffett (and Warren's secretary)?
And please, I'll wait for the carrier to deliver that airline ticket and take a cruise back. Expeditite it as I know some of you 3% have the change. That's perfectly fine with me. Please send lots of spare change also as I still want to donate more cash to some fine candidates here in Texas.
Wonder if JT will lug my luggage for me ? And I'll try and get Boom to drive me. And Roboll I want you for my spokesman.

My fear of the ban has subsided the last time I was banned and I am so thrilled that you and I have agreed upon something once again. I can, and do, and will correct, and also laugh at myself dealing with a certain kind of person. I'm laughing right now.
If you get a thrill out of anything that I thread than you are easily pleased and that certainly explains lots of things to me.
I still say getting back to this thread that who gives a sheet what Canada does and wants to do as long as it does not affect in anyway any American or her properties. I say America does not need that pipeline for anything and the Canadians can pipe elsewhere. Its to plain a problem once the facts are dealt with.
