Folks,
Just moved to Houston and started fishing this year. Been fun catching red fish in Sept/Oct from boat along the north and south jetties but have a question now. I have family coming in for the holidays and would like to take them out and catch some fish - preferably speckled trout or redfish. The last couple of times I've been out - since the weather has turned cold - I've had no luck.
Any advise/recommendations on where I could go, what to use, where/how to fish, etc. to get my son and son in-law into some fish. We'll probably be heading out either on the 26th or the 27th. I've been launching from the Galveston Yacht Basin if that matters.
Thanks for your help. I greatly appreciate it. I am so thankful I went out and plunked the money down on a used Wellcraft a few months back. It's been a blast fishing out in the bay. I've been concentrating on the intercoastal south of Rollover, the Galveston jetties, and the man-made islands east of Kemah along side the shipping channel for the most part. If there are other/better places I'd love to hear about them.
